Status Updates From Blut: Skeleton Crew

Strong start to this short story compilation with 'The Mist,' classic King with the whole "people are the real monsters" schtik except there are actually pretty nasty monsters stalking around this time.

Less impressed with 'Here there be Tygers.' A overall confusing and mostly pointless story.

The Wedding Gig 1.5/5 - didn’t care for this one too much. It’s just kind of there, with no impact and forgettable.

Paranoid: A Chant 2.5/5 - I don’t think I’ve read a story in this structure before and I appreciated it and the paranoia was well visualized.

The Jaunt 2/5 - didn’t keep me fully engaged, and I found parts of it a little boring. That said, I appreciated the story’s structure, especially the slow, deliberate approach of the Jaunt attendants toward the main family while the backstory was unfolding—it created a subtle sense of unease. Although the pacing didn’t always hold my attention, the ending stood out and ultimately made the story more memorable
