In the book a stereotype is that boys are rough and mean. It is showed when the boy traveling with her often gets into fights. they went to a train when they saw the man from her vision. they avoided him then got off the train.

This book is about a girl who finds a dragon creature in the woods and she named him or her Jellaby. Jellaby is a very kind creature who wouldnt harm a fly. Also, Jellaby would prefer peace over violence. (They learned that when they tried to name Jellaby godzilla.)
