Which would be fine if she didn't fucking spend every other page gloating and absolutely being her own hype man talking about what a genius she is when she has zero situational awareness and never questions anything or anyone. Ugh.

Merrin is so fucking annoying. You are NOT better than Lois Lane sis, at least she has independent critical thinking skills and actually fucking investigates things. You would be so lucky.

Hate it when someone who knows nothing about a comics lady tries to insult her. Lois isn't a sidekick or arm candy, she's a fucking badass.

Merrin genuinely being too stupid to ask basic questions is ruining this book.

Not enough excitement. Too much introspection. Writing is well done. But I like my books with a bit more then just day to day existence. (That's one reason why it's taking me so long to finish it.)

Elias doesn't feel real as a character to me yet. The relationships feel too rushed. Otherwise, I am excited to see where the science bit is going.
