I am unsure how committed I am to another 500+ page Umberto Eco academic mystery thriller, but I have read Chapter 1, and it intrigued me. I also have another book of poems on the docket that might take precedence.

Jetzt lese ich zwei Seiten lang, wie begeistert Belbo von Lorenzas Spiel am Flipper ist.
Besonders setzt sie das Schambein ein. Und das können so auch nur Frauen.
Es ist praktisch ein Text im Text.,(Belbos alte Tagebücher)
Ich nehme es als Werkzeug zur Charakterisierung. Oder Ironie .

Ich wechsele jetzt zwischen Buch und Hörbuch. Viel Geschichtswissen, ich werde nicht alles nachschlagen oder googeln. Gleichzeitig jetzt gerade sehr witzig, wie der Erzähler aber wirklich alles auf seine schon gebildete Theorie zurechtzurren möchte. Trotzdem: mühsam!

DELIGHTFUL. MOSTLY DIALOGUE.

Jujurly mulai lieur. There are many explanations on science occultisms and unfortunately I don't fancy them. But I expect them would shape or at least affect the modern day we live, so I carry on. The more interesting parts for me lied on the philosophical dialogue between the characters.

slowly but surely getting through this. theres some scenes and bits of description that are really immersive but its broken up by a lot of slogging through esoteric references that i cba to look up. still going tho bc i am interested to see where it goes, but excited to read normal books after this

Openingnya mewah sekali.Awalnya diajak berfisika (dan berfilosofi) dg Foucault's Pendulum. Membayangkan Conservatoire de Arts et Metiers di Paris terasa menyenangkan. Benda2 sains dan seni.. kendaraan antik yang megah..

Lalu masuk ke matematisnya ketika harus mencari sebuah password. Berfilosofi lagi ttg kebodohan, kegilaan. Lalu ttg sejarah "the beginning of the end" dari Ksatria Templar. Seruuu !

The Name of The Rose itu favku, dan baru baca dikit serunya dapet banget.

Lucu banget buku ini bikin aku nonton cara kerja Foucault pendulum untuk menentukan rotasi bumi d YouTube wkwk

I promised myself to finish this one by the end of this month. May the odds be ever in my favour

crazy amounts of description im foaming at the mouth

So far it’s semi-cerebral with many opportunities to learn new words. I’ve just completed the first chapter, which was very interesting and makes me want to continue on.
