Two shorts from Silver Surfer Annual #5.

Pip the Troll is tryna crack onto a lady and uses the space gem to impress her.
By showing off all the Silver Surfer’s recent foes?

Very odd framing. Just show the bad guys!

The second short had Firelord seeking revenge against Nebula for obliterating his homeworld.

Interestingly, it is Eros that leads Firelord to show compassion.

Didn’t expect a Nebula origin!

Silver Surfer V3 #66-
Princess Alaisa summons Mistress Love to gain power to be Surfer’s ‘equal’.
Turns out Love had already gifted Alaisa power to influence emotions.

But she agrees to bestow more, though the mortal will be beholden to the cosmic being.

Master Hate tempts Alaisa to make a deal with him too…

With this new power, Avatar is still disappointed when Surfer rejects her.

Then she gets mad!

Silver Surfer V3 #65-
The dragon creature…Reptyl (not heard of him before)!

There’s a fight where the flying reptile proclaims he is the next step of evolution and… *yawn*

Another piece of this story is added with the introduction of Princess Alaisa.

She ignores Surfer’s warnings and ends up in the middle of the fight.

With her distracting him, Surfer couldn’t properly deal with Reptyl. He gets away.

Silver Surfer V3 #64-
After a brief battle of similarly powerful beings, Surfer realises he cannot deny his darker self.

They are two halves of the same whole.

Conviction within himself grows, and Surfer is released from his own mind.

Collector is NOT happy that his well-adjustment destroyed his virus.

The Collector Agency quits, unlike being played.

Surfer finds a killer surprise at Thanos’ monument!

Silver Surfer V3 #63-
I know Surfer is an introspective being but another story within his own mind, really??

And it’s ongoing from an Annual story I didn’t read!

Anyway, Captain Marvel isn’t in this for long. Just has a talk with Surfer about not really needing to eat and neither has their powers.

Then he acts as ‘decoy’ so Surfer can confront the leader of this alien skeleton army…

Surfer’s dark self??

Silver Surfer V3 #62-
The Collection Agency siphon Surfer’s cosmic energy. But he overloads the system and there’s a huge explosion.

The leader, Jude, is destroyed - he was a robot.
Shaara grieves and explains her past. I skimmed that part.

The child is destroyed and the virus infects Surfer.
Visions immediately start.

As he flies through space, Surfer sees a giant head and flies straight into its mouth…

Silver Surfer V3 #61-
Collector wants Surfer to retrieve a child… That hosts a deadly virus that targets the brain…

Someone - we don’t see who - hires the Collection Agency to gather this child as well.

Oh and at the beginning, we get a recap of the Collector’s time with the Avengers. For some reason.

It had no relevance apart from explaining how the Elder was alive when he was seemingly destroyed.

Warlock and the Infinity Watch #6
Skimmed most of this. It was just more fighting and explosions.

Cool, sure, but not very interesting to me.

Moondragon recognised the danger and Pip teleported them all out of the doomed ship.

Pip makes a point that maybe the Infinity Watch will work better as a team….

Adam only says ‘we’ll see’.


I’m taking a break from this CE.

Warlock and the Infinity Watch #5
Adam regrets his decision about the guardians of the gems.

It doesn’t help that four out of six are captured.

We get a brief telepathic communication between Adam and the protector of the reality gem.
This guardian has been keeping an eye on the others. Bit sus if you ask me.

The rest of the issue is basically just fighting.

The enemy, Omega, is revealed to be Man-Beast.

Warlock and the Infinity Watch #4
I don’t know why these comics love rehashing the same history again and again but it’s getting a little tiring.

That being said, I barely read this. It had to do with the Counter-Earth High Evolutionary created and I can’t even remember how much of that story I even read.

Anyway, Adam recalls those he left the gems with… And is horrified by his decision with the last one…

Warlock and the Infinity Watch #3
Adam sought the friendship of his past father-figure, High Evolutionary.

He’s not the man he once knew… And he is being hunted!

By these technologically advanced beings.

That has also captured Pip and Drax?!

Adam tasked the New Men to sacrifice themselves… As he disappears??

Not the most interesting story for me but I’ll see it through.

Warlock and the Infinity Watch #2
Adam gathers those he is to entrust the Infinity Gems to.

They are Moondragon and Drax along with Gamora and Pip (of course).

Moondragon was all too willing to take a gem. Though Adam warns of letting one’s ambitions twist their minds against their responsibility.

The reality gem has an unnamed protector…

Adam leaves to be in solitude, Drax and Pip immediately split.

Warlock and the Infinity Watch #1
Basically an issue that takes us through an abbreviated version of Adam Warlock’s history.

Through the lens of Eternity who is pointing out every bad deed to gain favour and the gems from the Living Tribunal.

Well, it doesn’t quite work. Adam is to let go of the Infinity gems but will choose who guards them.

Eternity is NOT happy with that decision…

Dr Strange, Sorcerer Supreme #36 -
Another fight *sigh*

At least this one ends with Adam realising that he was allowing the power he now possesses to dictate his actions.

He will now rely on Gamora and Pip (who led Stephen to Adam) to be his moral compass.

Though, Eternity appears to Stephen and promises to gain the gems, through a trial??

Silver Surfer V3 #60
How droll, a fight between two people that could not communicate any other way.

I don’t know what that silent figure thought he’d accomplish by picking a fight with Surfer.

How was the ex-Herald to ascertain that you wanted help? So silly.

Anyway, the Collector appears to Surfer and says he has to help him. Or millions will die!

If there's any other issues not included that are part of ‘Aftermath’, I don’t know nor will I seek them out.

These first pages have shown the end pages of the last few Silver Surfer comics…

An alien dinosaur floating in space is wrapped in a cocoon. And then bursts out, now looking more like a western dragon.

Then a shadowy figure climbs through rubble to some monitors and states those missing are still deadly?
