This book just gets better and better! Would be reading it non-stop if work and eating etc didn't get in the way. Emile and Sophie are such intriguing and engaging characters - her for all the right reasons, him not quite so much - and I can't wait to see how their lives together will progress. Still loving the character names; Ma Slap'em is my latest favourite! Top quality writing!

Finally found some time to get back to this, and I am sooo pleased I have. Emile's attacker was a right piece of work! What will happen next to him and Miss Sophie?
The writing is absolutely delightful, the characterisation complex and emotive, and the plot certainly keeps you turning those electronic pages. Loving it.

The momentum's building. Will Sophie be able to preserve both her morals and her neck, or will she join the ranks of the human bats? Keep your garlic close to hand...

Imagine Jane Austen with vampires and time travel, and you're getting close. Bloody good fun!

Just this quick update, then I'm off to make more wooden crosses and buy a few hundred kilos of garlic bulbs! I plan to wear my thick scarf throughout.
