I’ve barely cracked it open and it seems promising based on reviews and contents, but I’m annoyed at how often victim blaming for IPV is popping up right from jump. There are so many other examples that could be used instead. We’ll see.

I stopped reading for a while as the techno question were not maching Mt client needs. I got a lot from the book, especially about assessing ego readiness via body language. Burt I found my psychoanalytic psychotherapy methods suited better.

Up to chapter 5. Like the specific focus on anxiety being a defense. Not sure this immediately confrontational method works for fragmented and or dissociative clients, nor narcissistic thin skinned or traumatized people that need to project in order to communicate and get attunement.
