Its over. It done.
the book, as well as this series, has been a bit of a slog. the pacing gets better when there is some action on the scene. But that is the not the reason I picked this series up - I was promised crime investigations, dammit. Fantasy 'saving the world' stories are a dime a dozen out there.
In conclusion, the series isn't bad. It wasn't what I wanted, and the potential to be different was there.
