Some of the stories (like the one about the Parrot Pacino, are funny but seem a little unecessery for the rest of the story. They distract rather than enhance. I loved the Dad's big reveal about his brother, it really hit home.

Every second christmas she rolls it out and I curse those choppers for not dropping something tastier.
