Wow...Mrs. Hignett (Eustace's mom) isn't fond of Sam either...

Yeah...the ending is getting pretty slow for me too...

Just like how the first two chapters were, the last chapter is a bit slower again. There is a lot of narration you will need to get through. I hope that this book ties up the loose ends between Billie and Sam, I have a feeling they will end up together after all that from the past few chapters.

Also love that Eustace found love with Jane Hubbard! How adorable ☺️

Okay I finally understood the two chapters before this final chapter that ties everything together. So basically Sam set up the whole thing with Mr. Peters and the revolver (which was not loaded) as a way to save Billie and win her over. Billie ends up finding out about this trick and sends Webster to tell Sam that they are done. Now Sam wants to win her back again. I’m officially exhausted 😴

Hold up...I was mad at the wrong person this whole time...SAM CAN CATCH THESE HANDS! Why would you play a trick on Billie?? Why would you send a lunatic after her??? (I'm not going to lie, I forgot that Sam was the one who played a trick and caused Billie to be a target to Mr. Peters). So you know what, Billie has every right to be angry at him.

F*** you Sam Marlowe!!

There is maybe 2-3 chapters left...and I have been pissed off by Mr. Bennet (Billie's father). I truly will never understand him and how he can just insult Sam like that. Ugh please tell me there is a happy ending to this!!

I quite literally don't understand Billie's father at all. He was literally sending Billie to go form a complaint for Bream playing his music too loud because it was annoying him while he was trying to sleep. It didn't seem like he even liked Bream. And now he is telling Sam that Billie cannot marry him because she is still to be engaged to Bream? You don't even like him! What the f***?

Oh wait the guy's name was Bream...not Breamer! So her father made her get engaged to Bream to please him but she never loved him. She really wants to be with Sam, especially after he saved her from Mr. Peters and his freaking revolver!!

Thank god for Sam jumping in there and saving Billie. Are they going to get back together? Please let that happen, cure Sam's heart!!

I am so confused what happened here...for some reason I am not really comprehending the exchange between Billie and Mr. Peters. I still want to know have does he have a revolver and why does he want to shoot people???

wait...Billie is not engaged to Breamer...I am so confused

And with that, we have 5 more chapters left. I am determined to finish this today!

Billie...I'm actually confused now...why did you agree to Breamer Mortimer's proposal if you are annoyed at everything he does, says, and how he looks (this has been addressed throughout the book). Girl, you find a problem with every guy you say yes too. Now your dad is having you go to Sam's dad to complain about Mortimer because he can't stand him either...what is wrong with these two (Billie and her dad)?

Oh no...Sam literally turned into Eustace from the beginning of the book (when Eustace was grumpy and saying that love is dead due to his broken engagement to Wilhelmina/Billie)

OMG....Billie...you have pissed me off girl! That's three men now!!

(see...the plot really does align with the title...I wonder who she will end up getting married to in the end...)

Honestly, it was just slow for the first two chapters. Otherwise, I am really starting to love this novel and I have enjoyed the pace that this story is going in. And also the title makes so much sense now to the story.

And now Sam has told Billie he knows about her previous engagement to Eustace…the drama 😂

Omg…..Sam….a proposal already?? You just met her!! Something tells me that Bream Mortimer is going to try sabotaging this marriage too and cause Sam to hate Billie.

Finally the pacing of this book is getting somewhere! I think the first two chapters were a little bit to get through but now I am starting to enjoy the narration for this book!

These chapters are a bit long on Libby....but finally we reached chapter 3. The thing that's keeping me going is honestly the dialogue. I love the interactions going on between the characters. I will have to renew this again as after chapter 2, I am kind of hooked on to the book. But it took me till this point to really get the idea of where this book's plot is going.

I'm not gonna lie...this book is going pretty slow for me. But I don't want to DNF it...I'm so conflicted!!

Poor Sam, he just wanted to tell Eustace about the girl he encountered (that he became enamored by) but he has to listen to Eustace complaining.

I'm definitely not liking Eustace and the way he is speaking about women just because he was not able to marry the girl he proposed to. I mean, even though it was not entirely his fault why he did not make it in time to Wilhelmina, that doesn't mean all women suck....
