Status Updates From The Widow

The Widow might be a DNF and a yeet to the book exchange pile.

It's not one that I ever really reread with any sort of enthusiasm and I think I only kept it because I couldn't stand letting a favorite author's book go to the bin.

But I'm older now with less space and even fewer f's to give.

I think Charlie and Maguire are probably some of Stuart's weaker main characters. Charlie reminds me too much of Cassidy from Night Fall and Maguire is a pretty stereotypical Stuart MMC.

But the side characters always make me laugh. These people would be exhausting in real life.

I finally get it. Pompasse = pompous

Now I remember this bonkers plotline.

Anne Stuart was in some ways ahead of her time and at other times, I'm sure she was influenced by Flowers in the Attic.

So far...the book seems like it’s dragging on, I don’t seem to have any liking towards any of the characters yet. But I’m not even halfway into the book yet, so I guess we’ll if it gets better and also how it ends.
