Losurdo's work here is very good even though it is taking me ages to read it. Might have burnt myself out reading all that I have for the past month or so.

Good critique of Marcuse's inability to understand the debate surrounding Being and Time and the rectorial speech—Marcuse confuses (though somewhat recognized the problematic political implications) Heidegger's conservative and Burkean "de-universalization" of man with Marx's "detranscendalization," the former reactionary and the latter expressing the nature of humanity in its material economic-social existence.

I've decided to re-read losurdo's book, which I remember being incredibly informative about the milieu and epoch that Heidegger was writing in.
