This book is immensely readable. And I don’t really remember much about the movie so that’s a bonus.

So far, this book is spectacular! The story is funny, intriguing and emotional, and the words flows so nicely together. Im extremely happy with this book, and i can’t wait to read more!

I hate to say it... but I prefer the movie.

Maybe it’s because I watched it first but I just feel the actors brought the dialogue to life more humorously and emotionally. But it’s still a great story and I am enjoying it...

Having a hard time getting into yet another male-writer book in which the narrator is the only character imagined to have an interior life.

I’m reading this because a favorite author of mine said she loved & laughed her butt off throughout this. I’m not finding it very funny at this point, aside from the dick fire that occurred early on. But...I’m still going to keep reading to see if it gets better from here on out /:

Visual assessment is the most superficial type of understanding. If you visually assess a group you will only see similarities of behavior and appearance. Not differences. You will miss the individual. The overconfident manner, the twisting of fingers in laps. I see People as jigsaw pieces, not necessarily belonging to the picture I have in front of me.

This book was CLEARLY written by a man. The descriptions of females are so gross. But also I love the story and the movie so I’m suffering through the sexist imagery.

Well...I wasn’t crazy about the writing style in the first chapter because it seemed like author was trying too hard to be funny. But dang, chapters 2 and 3 are raw.

Ugg. This book. The blurb on the back informs me that its a masterful insight into the male psyche. God I hope not. More like the misogynistic ramblings of a jerk with mommy issues.

I normally read really sad stories or thrillers etc. This is quite different from that. Contains a lot of sarcasm which is quite refreshing
