"The question, in its simplest form, was this: How far up Wade Boulanger's ass could I jam a chocolate-strawberry cheesecake with thirty-three burning candles and one for good luck?" pgs. 22-23

I've laughed, but I feel like I have heard this sarcastic tone before, and it's a bit much.

This book is getting me out of my January depression funk. Love the characters and Jonathan Tropper's writing style. Fun, quirky novel.

This is just dragging. I'm determined to finish it, but I already know I like the movie so much more.

This is... Not great. I don't think I'm going to finish it. It's one big long cliché and super misogynistic.

God! I really want to feel sorry for Judd for those moments when he's relatably pathetic but he's kind of a shallow prick. I don't know if it's his sexual frustration or him just being an asshole at heart but he doesn't seem to stop noticing every woman's ass or breasts. He even does mental comments on old ladies bodies, narrating with disgust how sagging and irreparable they look.

I love this already. I adored Plan B and Tropper has an amazing narrative voice. I can't believe it took me so long to read this one.

I picked this one up because of how much I loved the movie, but I'm having a hard time. It's clear the narrator is angry at women in general, and the misogynistic language is getting in the way of my enjoyment.

Is Judd supposed to be such a sexist pig? He's quite emotionally immature.

Really funny, but Judd is a chauvinistic prick who describes the physical attributes of every woman. Latest: "pretty in a forgettable way." Good lord.
