So far, this has been an entertaining, informative read. A punctuation mark contributes semantic structure to a sentence, but its precise operation depends on grammatical context. The book does a great job at systematically covering each operation and context. The author does present one noteworthy idiosyncrasy: He consistently lists "while" among the coordinating conjunctions. This is, at best, non-standard.

After an amazing high fantasy novel (Sword Catcher), I need to reset so I'm reading something completely different.
And hey, it's always good to refresh or learn new stuff.

I'm pretty good at English already but I read these books to try to get better. English is such a stupid language, though, because there are so many exceptions and things 'you can do if you like, just be consistent' that I'm surprised anyone can speak it. No wonder everyone gets it wrong.

Re-reading this because you can always learn and reinforce current knowledge. Beware! I am a grammar freak! :-D
