Extend his evening beam…” II, 492-3

Fixed fate, free will..
And found no end, in wandering mazes lost.” 558-61

The thing about Paradise Lost is that it's so near indecipherable that it doesn't matter where I stopped reading it or what was going on in the narrative. Regardless I don't know what is going on 🤷🏾♀️

Finished the first book of paradise lost, definitely a challenging read so far. The notes at the back really help and annotating as I go to understand the events. I love Satan’s representation tho

“His trust was with the eternal to be deemed
Equal in strength, and rather than be less
Cared not to be at all; with what care lost
Went all his fear” II, 46-9
“To vice industrious, but to nobler deeds
Timorous and slothful: yet he pleased the ear,
And with persuasive accent thus began.” II, 116-18
“…for who would lose
Though full of pain, this intellectual being,
Those thoughts that wander…” 146-8
