My copy is dated 1904, "Popular Edition" hardcover with a plate showing Scarecrow and Tin Woodman on the cover.It is the 2nd in the series, the first with John R. Neill illustrations.

So far pretty good for a 125 year old kids book. A wee bit dark but also kids were working in coal mines so yknow

Ik begon het niet leuk te vinden want ik vond dat ze de scarecrow te veel veranderde maar nu in the land of the winkies vind ik het weer de goede kant op gaan.

Toen ik reviews las over dit boek dat het hedendaags niet gepast is begin ik het wel te snappen hoor. Ik begin me ook een beetje te irriteren aan de Scarecrow en Jack, maar het enige wat ik me nog afvraag is waarom dit geschreven moest worden tot nu toe is het niet echt een goed deel twee waar je een breeder beeld begint te krijgen van Oz.

Ik houd van Mombi.

Even een startertje ik denk dat ik Tip wel kan mogen maar nu mag ik hem niet

Great fun book. Easy read. Who would have thought watching season two of sandman on Netflix while reading this would prove problematic? Well the entire book was spoiled by one of the characters in that show. It’s still been a good read even knowing what’s coming

DNF- I'm forcing myself to finish it, but I'm not enjoying it. I'll try to reread when I hade the mood.

i'm actually loving this, i'm surprised how there're no rightful adaptations of the first book but the movie return to oz is so much like this one! i think the books are way more cool and thoughtfully made, however it's interesting how several different films took different places and characters from both books ᕙ⁠(⁠ ⁠:⁠ ⁠˘⁠ ⁠∧⁠ ⁠˘⁠ ⁠:⁠ ⁠)⁠ᕗ
