Quick and quirky reading!

How would today’s youth react to characters ejaculating (words of excitement- ejaculations), or the use of gay to mean merry, and light hearted? I’m enjoying another sweet story in the saga of the Land of Oz.

Revolting army? No. Quite beautiful. LOL!

Listened to audio of chapters 1-5. On Gutenberg online edition, chapter 6 begins on page 59.

I’m on the second last chapter and I am devastated...but happy at the same time for the Land of Oz 😭😭

Baca buku petualangan Oz ini selalu memberikan efek happy.. Selain banyak percakapan lucu dari para tokohnya kisahnyapun begitu ringan dan membangkitkan imajinasi..belum lagi L.Frank Baum selalu menyisipkan kata2 bijak dari percakapan tersebut...kisah fantasy Oz adalah kisah fantasy yang selalu membuatku tertarik untuk terus mengikutinyaa...mungkin bila dibaca saat kecil dulu buki ini bisa dibaca ratusan kali..

eBook returned its check out time on Hoopla app while halfway through reading. Debating on whether or not to check it out again right away to continue reading; will wait a few days before deciding. Page numbers may not match physical copy; in the middle of chapter, “The Prisoners of the Queen”.

So far I am not loving this book. It's really all over the place and as a kids book and a sequel really hard to judge.

Interesting new viewpoint on the land of Oz

The story is whimsical and very unusual but entertaining. The scarecrow and Pumpkinhead have the most ridiculous conversation but its so funny. The fact that the dialog and the characters logic is just different but it seems to make sense to them, just adds to its uniqueness.

A wonderful addition to the classic Wizard of Oz tale. I only wish I would have had the chance to read the whole series when I was younger. Sadly, I didn't even know there were more books at the time. So, I strongly suggests that, if you have kids or know kids, you put this series on their reading list.

Am PURELY reading this because it was on my shelf for some reason. Am very much hoping it gets more charming, haha.

Gonna go ahead and indulge in book #2!

Tip finally stood up for Jack Pumpkinhead but people are still being mean about his upcoming death. They said he wasn’t worth using one of the wishing pills!! Heartless!

This pompous bug with bad puns is a pretty great character.

Just finished chapter 16.
