do yah think Catherine is finally going to realize that neither of these men deserves her loyalty, or are you expecting her to make a desperate move to stay with Morris just to spite her father?

This is where the "patience" noted becomes a double-edged sword. Catherine is being so patient that she is essentially allowing herself to be "erased" from her own life. The Doctor is pushing her to see if there is anything inside her besides this "patience."

She is waiting for him to acknowledge her as a woman with agency, but he is only capable of seeing her as a "child to be managed" or a "rebellious object to be suppressed."
