Status Updates From Threads (Threads, #1)

I just finished the book, Sequins, Secrets, and Silver Linings and its a pretty good book if you like fashion and designers. I kind of thought the book was boring at the beginning but there were lots of characters and lots of plot twists. And it also sends a good message.

“I watch her very carefully. She's very,very still, but she doesn't look as depressed as she did a month ago” (page 273). This is a character change because it shows how much she changed in a little bit of time. I think this made Jenny also change because she also wants to change like her. This makes me feel like in the book she won’t make the same mistake.

“As if nothing in the world will ever break the connection” (page 268). This shows character feeling because it shows how much they have bonded. This makes them feel like they maybe should be together and that everyone was wrong. This makes the story more interesting because it shows us not just what they do but actually what they feel.

“It's the twentieth of February. Mums ringed it in red on the calendar. Todays the day”(page 260) This saying is repeated over and over and it keeps being said. I think this means that there is something really important about the day and that people feel optimistic about it.

Character Change
In the parts that I read today I realized that Jenny is slowly becoming a better person because of the way other people act towards her. This change probably causes Jenny to want to be more liked and to trust more people. This makes me feel like maybe at the end people will start to be Jenny's friend and maybe Jenny might become a more talked about character.

Tough Questions
The Character Bianca realized that she could either help her friend and help her brother and the other would be mad at her forever. This made her feel like she had to choose between people she loved, this made her probably the worst shes ever felt.

AHA moments-
I read today that crow realized that there's more to everyone and that she has to be more passionate towards people, So she realized an AHA moment and had a AHA moment. This probably makes her feel like she could maybe be more observant and try to put herself in other peoples shoes. This makes me think that I should do the same and I'm starting to realize the overall theme in the book.

a-ha moment
Today I read that crow had a a-ha moment and realized she didn't want to be in the fashion show anymore. This is important because crow doesn't wanna do anything anymore and shes changing as a character. This makes Edie and Jennie feel like if crow cant do it neither can they and her changing is causing the whole book to go in a different direction.

I think that the symbol in this book is crows dress because it keeps coming up over and over again and it means something to all of them. This is important because its something that the reader remembers when they see crow's name, and like maybe they have more of a connection with crow. It could also contribute to the overall theme of having a connection to fashion

As a book this is tolerable, but for some reason I started thinking if this were a movie it would be so ridiculously stupid😂
