I was a teenager when I read this before so I'll forgive myself for rating it 5*. I don't hate it but only Prince Gar is likeable and maybe Matt! Honestly this would be improved if it was turned into a grumpy x sunshine MM romance between Asher and Gar cz fuck me does Asher need something to being him to life!

Not gonna lie… I’m a little scared to finish. With all this foreshadowing and the tragedies that have already occurred there’s just no way this ends well. In fact it’s looking to end in the worst possible way, which I mean, yea makes for a phenomenal tragedy but also sucks sucks sucks SUCKS!

Lamentably one of the harder/ hardest books I’ve read in a while. Having issues with the: dialogue, mannerisms, world building, logic, pace. Holding on to hope for some improvement

"He would be here weeks" he's over 600 years old I really don't think a few weeks would be an issue

Literally one of the most unconvincing romances I've ever read like "of all women, why *her*?" Mate you just spent a whole page talking about the prince's qualities you're more in love with that guy than with this girl you have exactly zero chemistry with, what are you even talking about

A good book - enjoyed it quite a bit but the ending was a cliffhanger. Hope to get to book 2 soon

Currently, this gives off a softer version of the games of throne. You have a fisherman son assisting a magicalless prince and in the background their is more to be had. I can wait to read more and see how things unfold.

Im happy that i have the second book in my library. I will most likely read the 2nd book once im finish.
