Great read funny

Now this isnt a genre I would normally pick up but as soon as I saw ‘The Bridget Jones of our times’ on the front cover I HAD to give it a go. Plus the cover is pink, which is my fav 😌😌

So much funnier than I was expecting it to be but I really feel sorry for Nell feeling like she’s lost her best friend.

Didn’t like

Very Bridget Jones-esque but so far I’m not being super drawn into the story. Maybe because I’m more like the flighty married with kids friends than our MC. I like the premise but it’s falling a bit flat so far.

Now that I’m further in this book, I remember why I love this author so much. For Some reason this book and another on of her books I have read, One good thing, help me with my mental health. They help me realise I need to enjoy the smallest things more and care less of what other people think. This book is getting really good btw now that I’m further :)

Its always hard for me to start a book, I think I have been at 23 pages for like the last two weeks… but the book is pretty good so far, curious for whats coming :)

So far it’s a good read, can relate to a few things in the book. It’s lovely for a rainy or cozy read anywhere. I would recommend it. Style is long and short in certain chapters so suits reader or both long format and short format.
