I hate robots and AI - I barely slept last night because I got paranoid 😭. I am considering to dnf this book since I don't really like short stories.

I hate how goodreads have the wrong book pages.

It's easy to see why Philip K Dick has inspired so many films, his short stories are fantastic. I think my favourite in this lot so far is "Explorers We".

Oh my, Captive Market was brutal 😅

The Minority Report - this is a fascinating and horrifying look at what society might do if given the ability to see the future.

Minority report: verrassend, ik heb de film niet gezien want Tom Cruise, verhaal is kort maar onderhoudend.

After this I've only got one short story collection and then no more dick 😭

Palate cleansing novels with PKD stories. This collection is just the stories that inspired movies (up until 2002 at least) and that seems like a good a place as any to start chipping away at his short fiction.

Ok... I'm going to say it. I prefer the movie for Minority Report. I love how well down it was. And I loved Agatha hahaha


Now I am just starting the Recall story "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale" and WOW the ramifications are insane. What a brilliant idea by Philip K. Dick

Side note.. I just realized that this was turned into the movie Total Recall..

I have read through "The Minority Report."

The second story, basically Total Recall totally kicks ass, besides Dick’s typical female archetype ugh

Just finished the Minority Report. It had some exciting elements to it and in particular, I did enjoy the Precrime system. Admittedly, it lacked in-depth explanations, but it set the stage for a somewhat neat concept. There were also some cool uses of conspiracy and uncertainty that Philip K. Dick often plays around in, most notably in A Scanner Darkly. It does a passable job as a short story.
