• Let the goal be to have a spiritually enriching marriage, a marriage, that spawns life, vibrancy intimacy, a lifetime of memories with your best friend and the overwhelming joy of creating a family together
• This is not a time to fall prey to romanticized foolishness.
• Remain rooted in Christ, fully engage your mind and draw on all your resources to approach the decision with intention, purpose, and wisdom

• when looking for someone to marry, keep Matthew 6:33 in your mind “ seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
• people can make each other miserable when they live for themselves
• Problems come from trying to build a life together w/o purpose, mission, w/o something that not only establishes a connection, but keeps u caring about each other 4 life

• your spouse in marriage can either be a rock in your shoe OR a rock you hold on to
•what kind of tears will you be crying in your marriage? Tears of pain OR tears of joy?
• it’s just as important to ask yourself why you want to get married as it is to ask who you should marry
