Status Updates From 1982

I didn’t finish the book but I am definitely finished with it. I barely made it through the first chapter, thinking that he would stop describing his seemingly only desire: to look cool like David Bowie. I could never have imagined that he would be such a deplorable writer. I am against book burning but I wouldn’t stop someone from tossing this one in. I decided not to put it in my neighbour’s Little Library.

So far so good.

Talk about double entendres with the chapter titles given what we now know about Jian Ghomeshi! I am a child of his generation who grew up in a similar environment so I enjoy making those connections, but the jury is still out on this one.
