I really like this book. But right now I’m on ‘Swann in Love’ and it is both hard to read and hard to put down. His frenetic and obsessive anxiety towards Odette framed as love is brutal to read about because it feels so real. Proust has such a gift for description where I feel like I can see into Swann’s mind and understand exactly what he feels. And it hurts.
