Much among mortals I am..
Greek word for “much” is untranslatable bc it came to English as the prefix ‘poly-‘. “She is not claiming omnipotence but rather universal access.”
She (and Artemis) understand flesh and change. Hippolytus claims to in hubris, and Aphrodite claims 3 victims as consequence. To abandon Aphrodite is suicide and murder.
Aphrodite’s breath is felt / on everything there is.

So far i’ve very much so enjoyed the book. I think Hippolytos is my favorite play (i haven’t finished it yet though), it also happens to be the longest of the plays in this book.
