Glad I had this book on hand while waiting to see someone at the Ministry of the Interior for FOUR hours - see how much reading I got done! And it absorbed me more than I thought/expected it would, maybe because I felt like I could just pad softly through it.

Maybe it's a Scottish English thing, but there are quite a few of misused commas - 3 already (either extraneous or used in place of a semi-colon). :(
That said, I'm intrigued to know why Cathy is so resistant to her Scottish heritage, and just what her husband David will find out about their ancestors (and his motivation for finding out).
