Status Updates From The Revised Fundamentals of...

Decided to try and read the book before watching the film. I've heard good things about both, but the book has to be read first - them's the rules!!

Gritty, witty, warm and dark. I loved it. The geographical location (my region) was particularly resonant and Evison certainly captured the quirky vibe of this odd neck of the woods.

Superb. But don't read it if you're feeling depressed, irritable or agitated. Read it when you're feeling confident, kooky, wicked, critical or relatively calm. It's a Road Novel and a rip-roaring tale with sharply drawn characters.
