I already love it! Reading the preface and introduction is a must! I am looking forward to the rest of this book! Very fast read, but super interesting.

The Bloomfield band is ridiculously out of sight and you can feel what they're doing no matter what color the eyes or armpits might be, because I can really feel it...[Paul Butterfield] was really deep into it and nobody could touch him there because he was in his own little scene. He was really so happy... it all depends on how your ears are together and how your mind is and where your ears are.

European reporters were often startled once they got a close look at Hendrix's wild appearance. The Swedish newspaper EXPRESSEN went as far as describing Hendrix as "a cross between a floor mop and an Australian bush Negro."
