Greg and Rowley both couldn't find a date to the dance so they decided to go as friends with one other girl. Greg thinks that he can take them to dinner and get Abigail to be his couple to the dance but what I think is going to happen is that Rowley is going to win her over and Greg will be lonely.

I swear Greg is just blowing every single chance he can to get a date for the dance. But I'm going to predict that he will end up going to the dance by himself.

It is at the point of the book where everyone is looking for a person to go to the dance with. Greg has asked pretty much every girl in the school and honestly I don't know if he will ever end up finding one.

I love the way how Jeff Kinney uses flashbacks in the story because it lets me know for the reasons Greg doesn't like certain stuff. For example he shows how he doesn't like Ruby Bird because she bit the teacher.

The book is just starting off vut from previous books I already know how Greg acts. But the thing about this book is it tells you about Greg before his middle school years which is pretty interesting.
