Greg finds a date to the dance and is nervous because he usually doesn't talk to girls. However , Greg finds out Rowley is also going with her, which means Greg is third wheeling.

Greg is still regretting ever bringing Rowley and when he could've gotten his dad to drive them to it

Greg really wanted Rowley to be elected for Student council, so he got a ton of t-shirts with each having one letter. It was supposed to spell out vote for Rowley, but the people wearing the shirts stood out of order, so it was hard to tell what was meant to be said.

Greg wants to run for Student council, but the rules say you can't have three detentions or more, which Greg does. Greg asks his best friend Rowley who has zero detentions to run for Student council. Greg wants to have his ideas passed on to the council by Rowley.

Greg has to do a dance unit for P.E which he has a bad experience with. Last ear he picked the prettiest girl in class and was excited when he got to be with her, but he had to deal with her telling others that she didn't pick him. This time Greg didn't want the same issue to happen again, so he just danced with another friend.

Greg's P.E class is doing a dance unit which is something he has a bad experience with. Last year, Greg picked the prettiest girl in school while she picked the most popular guy in school. They ended up being together and Greg was really happy, however he had to deal with the nonsense of her telling others that she didn't pick him. This time Greg just danced with a friend, so he wouldn't have to go through it again.

Greg talks about his experience in pre-school and how he was behind all the other kids. He tried to slow down the others kids's learning by feeding them wrong information, so he can be as smart as them. The plan, however backfired and his mom was involved. She thought that he was a smart kid and he wasn't challenged enough so she made him skip to kindergarden which was a total disaster. Greg came back to pre-school.

Greg misses the old days when he used to be a baby in his mom's stomach. He tries to recreate that moment by blindfolding himself and laying in a bathtub to makeup for the lack of sleep he's been having. Everything Greg has received so far has been a hand-me-down from his older brother, Roderick. As soon as Greg found out that he was having a little brother he started calling dibs on stuff he didn't have as a kid.

Greg has a date for the dance but When Rowley comes along as a third wheel everything turns around because they have to order kids meals. Greg thinks that his date already wants to leave because of Rowley and his dad.
