II Fellowship

Cosca finally got what he deserved honestly, he had it coming a long time now.
But overall, I was not really attached to anything in this. The Heroes remain the best out of 3 standalones for me.
Now idk if I'll continue, I was really excited before but now, I'm torn again.
If I don't continue now, I'll forget the characters and this world all over again, but life is too short, aaah decisions decisions

Well, that's that. Again, just like with Best Served Cold, this was not for me. The writing is great as always, the characters complex.
Temple was definitely my favorite, surprisingly the only decent main character is this entire franchise it seems. I'm glad he and Shy got a happy ending, that does not happen a lot with this author. Logan sadly didn't leave much an impression on me anymore, I loved him more before

Me being disgusted by everyone in this chapter (not u Temple)

I must say, I'm really hating every main character for what they're doing rn (except Temple, he's not really part of it)

I've been trying and trying, but this book isn't doing it for me either, idk what it is. Just like Best Served Cold, this road trip type of book isn't it. I think I like it better than that, but still I'm just pushing myself through this

Everyone's gotten old and sad

The more I read Joe Abercrombie's novels his writing ability stands out. Red Country could have been a novel dedicated to First Law fan fiction. Instead, his prodigious story telling shines and my interest never wavers.

There's a massive spoiler to be found and I cannot continue updating the journal without spoilers. All the First Law and standalone novels have been my favorites.

I do so hate children. Like I know she's been traumatised, but I think if I'd spent months and months trying to find my little sister who had been abducted and brainwashed and when I found her she told me she hated me I'd leave on the side of that mountain. Logically, I know that's shitty but having been in Shy's head Im so angry for her.

It hasn't won me over yet, but it also took over 200 pages in the last book, so fingers crossed 🤞

Trouble

I like Temple the most so far, he feels like the most green flag character in this entire series yet (apart from Craw). But knowing this series, I know it won't last. I'd be genuinely surprised if it did
