Status Updates From Red Country

Gonna try keeping up with goodreads again

This has a Lonesome Dove feel to it, which is amazing. A contender for the best Abercrombie novel.

Abercrombie really said “end. now.”
but like cool ass dragon design i want to look up fanart but im scared it’ll spoil whether it wakes up or not

Both a western and an epic fantasy and somehow those work really well together. The return of one of my favorite characters and his arc is really something and pretty typical of the author’s theme that no matter how hard people try they just can’t change (and a lot of that is due to societal structures). The expected dark humor from this series and some downright nausea inducing fight scenes. What a fucking read

kinda cool how the journey is so treacherous you forget the treacherous reason they even took off on it- that’s the west for you

Let’s try this again, borrowing this for the 3rd time lol

so far I think my favorite of the stand-alone spin offs

meeting a kid named Leaf in a forest? He really trynna copy my dnd party 🤨🤨🤨

I just wanna be done lol

Loving it still! The new characters have won me over for sure. Rooting for them all!

Loving it so far. COSCA! And another...

Trouble!

Deep in Dragon Country

Dragon territory

The fellowship of the Red Country

The wild frontier meets the cold steel of the blade

No notes. Exactly the fantasy western I wanted, needed, and hoped it would be.

This dude has pretty much become one of my favorite comfort authors. Just super easy to read and relax with.

Livin

Slow so far…

I fear for my endgame
