He talks about needing to let go for the bigger idea/picture, but what if part of the trauma/resentment is people always making you take it for the sake of others?

The highlights are getting fewer and farther between.

This is incredibly religious, very Christian and very biblical. I am trying to hold out a little longer to see if there is anything secular (and therefore purely forgiveness based) but, thus far, everything here matches the “warped view and definition “ my therapist says I have acquired from my religious education. Not sure this will bring me closer. Understand why it was on clearance!

This is a must read if you haven’t. It’s such a great eye opener for me on so many levels.

I'm currently listening to the audio verse. Thankful that he is narrating the book! I will be revisiting this book frequently as he has some MAJOR points in forgiveness! So far it's great!

Great book. It was introspective and helpful.

Really enjoying this book plan to apply it's truths which has been revealed to me so far haven't finished it as of yet good read though...

How can I read a book?

Still not certain of the message, but I do pray God sends him a better editor. The man has gone medieval on his metaphors,

(am listening thru Audible.com - and having to listen to it at 1.5x the speed so it keeps my attention.)

Really getting a lot out of this book. Didn't realize I still had some old unforgiveness in my heart. So grateful for the insights.

I'm enjoying this book for its no-nonsense advice, causing worthwhile introspection.

Bishop Jakes provides sage advice. Some things I've done already; in other areas, I will consider applying his advice as the occasions arise. This book would appeal to anyone seeking self-improvement and is not exclusive to a Christian audience.
