Status Updates From Forgotten

Poor Devin is in a constant state of confusion. :(

Just.....wow.

omg, this is going to be an intense emotional read. cant wait for the next update!

God, this is pretty grim reading..

I'm done!! Do I win a prize? Well, so it took 39 of 40 chapters for Devin to seem anything remotely close to happy, and he's still always scared, crying and 5 seconds away from a nervous breakdown. I won't be looking for updates.

Chapter 35: Never mind! He's crying again! And back to calling Keeran 'master'. 5 more chapters left. Please God.

Chapter 34: "The week was long and taxing." Much like this story. I still want to slit my wrists with a dull knife, but , on the upside Devin has finally stopped crying for every damn thing and he has FINALLY learned to call Keeran by his first name instead of 'Master'. Thank God for small mercies. By the way, in case you're wondering, Keeran is still a detestable character. Back to Devin taking yet another shower!

Came back to this to give it another try. I've read 5 more chapters. Devin is still crying and apologizing for every doggone thing and Keeran is a complete ass. The only person I like in this book is Joey. Could there be light at the end of the tunnel??

“Why didn’t you tell me Gennarelli used to drug you, Devin?” Master asked with a quiet voice Who else would it be, you jackass? And yes, I actually said that out loud when I read that line. Ugh.

This book is utterly depressing. Jess, tell me there's a reason to continue!! There is no levity whatsoever.

Ok, is some relief coming in this story? I'm on Chapter 8 and so far it's just been hell for Devin. Who am I supposed to be liking in this cast of characters?

40 chapters. I'm going in!
