So all of this constant rumbling on the danger of how foreigners are viewed by the English.... just constant warning after warning by our leading character on how a one born of a different land should be careful....and Bruno sits and scoffs about it at Harry's place. Mmmkay.

Whoa. Whats with all of the dramatics? Its feeling kind of purple, and I don't like the constant reiterations of 'A woman's Place.' The book is set in a precise place and time. We understand how severe Sophia's situation will be the moment we, the READER, has opened the book. Because, why? It is set in 1584! And then Bruno, with the overly dramatic exclamations. Stop wasting page time and go on and tell the story!
