It's definitely picked up for me. I'm much more interested in the book.

He tells her he took a serum to make him fearless so he could help her, then later he says if a demon kills him, it could take his fearless abilities??? I don't get it.

The names of the different demons are unimaginative. Movers, Freezers, passers, etc.

The continual remarks about how they are meant for each other and how well they know each other because they are just alike falls flat. Every time I read someone say it, I roll my eyes. I'm in danger of them rolling out of my head, I've rolled them so many times.

Well, the story is picking up but I'm still not totally invested in it. I think it's because too much is still a mystery. I like mystery and suspense in my stories but there's too much that's unknown. It's making it hard to get totally invested in the story.

I'm getting a little confused by all that's going on in this story. I'm hoping it will all become clear in next few pages!

i am really struggling on this one. Reading is usually effortless, but this book requires concenttation and rereading of passages. I still don't know what is really going on. it feels stilted and I'm finding that a lot of the words feel wrong. like they are used in the wring context. i'm having to force myself to continue. i keep checking my progress because i can't wait for the end. i hate that i feel this way.

I didn't get a lot read last night. I had decided to stop until I formulated and wrote my Deep Dark Secret review. Starting back up now.
