Just when I feel like we’re finally on the Rachel path, the book goes a series of tangents. For example, it’s talking about how Rachel Beer was political → she wrote an article about X event → heavy description of event → of those involved → how the event took place based on historical effects, bla, bla bla

Now it’s into the heart of Rachel Beer’s newspaper work! Only too about 150 pages to get there though

I’m now at page 115, and it is only the second time outside the prologue that Rachel (Sassoon) Beer is being mentioned 🤦‍♀️

I’m already 72 pages into a biography of Rachel Beer, and she has only been mentioned a handful of times, minus the prologue. Hopefully once the history of her family and her husband’s family, and her uneventful childhood have been laid out, Rachel Beer will get center stage.

I won't be able to finish this. Boring
