Wow, I was not expecting that ending in terms of the romantic relationships, but huzzah for a happy for all! I'm finished with this one so I'll be writing a review shortly. Overall, I liked it; it was full of many action packed and dramatic scenes, but there were many moments where the narrative dragged for exposition. Probably giving this a solid 3 stars.

The page count on GR is different from the one on my digital copy (it's only 273 on mine), but I'm flying through this, should probably finish this in another hour or so. Duin's realizing how selfish humanity is on many levels even when it comes to taking care of kids. He gets a lot of flack for being Glin (an alien in this world). I like the dialogue between him and Genny so far. Still reading.

Reading this digitally. I'm cleaning through my Kindle and Adobe Reader app NetGalley approvals and somehow I did not realize I still had this book (among others). Since I've set a goal of raising my review % on NG (it's not great, let's just leave it at that), I figured I'd gradually fold in my galley reads with my physical ones. This is a pretty good adult sci-fi story so far. Still reading.

Things have taken an interesting turn. I love the unusual relationships and cultural differences between Glin and humans.

The secondary characters keep seriously cracking me up. I love Hax and Blaze!

This isn't bad....which makes me think my lack of focus is an ADD phase...seriously, I think this is the 4th book I've started just in the last two days! ...and I just bought another one, and am having a hard time not switching over to it....

I am greatly enjoying this book! I would be probably be further along if not for the fact that Skyrim is a very demanding mistress. Oh, and the fact that my kids want to play with my Kindle all the time XD

Stellarnet Rebel was an amazingly unique book with some deep themes and a great love story to boot. Really liked it.

Some Jeffersonian/Patrick Henry style oration from an alien whose home world is being ravaged; on the colony, things get Irish. Really like the "Glinn" perspective on ownership of the things essential for life.
