Status Updates From Ada ou l'Ardeur

Reading this has been one of the most punishing experiences of my life. I’ve been slowly reading it for months. Every time it gets good, I’m caught off guard again by the gratuitous sex scenes between kids. It’s almost ruined Nabokov for me. It doesn’t feel clever or interesting.. I’m disliking this experience more than House of Leaves 😐

"I must warn Marina... that her husband should stop swilling tittery, and stick to French and Califrench wines..."
