This is perhaps a mystery with which we must simply live and, in living with it, continue to admire those melancholy souls who have devoted their lives to the creation of beauty, no matter what the cost. This is finally what encourages us to indulge those calamitous creators, to treat them almost as we would treat deities, as though they were somehow above our normal codes of behavior.
