Status Updates From Under the Banyan Tree

Letters will not reach in Tamil...when my uncle died they write a letter & addressed it in Tamil to his son...& the man never turned up for the funeral. We all joined & buried the uncle after waiting for two days, & the son came one year later & asked, 'where is my father?'

How could I make sure that annamalai was still alive? His last words to me before he retired were a grand description of his own funeral, which he anticipated with considerable thrill.
