Still an amazing reread. Still beautiful and lyrical and everything I wanted it to be.

Final verdict: some of it's extremely beautiful, but it functions so much more as prose poetry than CNF. I'd like to reread this when I can get my hands on the physical book rather than my Kindle. Some things are just better on printed pages, in your hands, the smell of paper and feel of deckled edges (or even sharp ones) influencing the way you're reading.

After a while, it's hard to remember the premise, the form. I still want to make these poems instead of essays. And! I almost forgot how much I enjoyed the Murakami allusion (mixed with Shakespeare, I think). Fascinating.

I wonder about these being classified as essays rather than poems. I wonder about the creative nonfiction essays. But mostly I wonder why more people aren't talking about this unique form and some of these beautiful words.
