This is a really hard read so far (I’ve already cried), but a necessary one to understand how much of a terrible effect the porn industry has had on society. My heart breaks for kids that are exposed so young.

“75% of people involved in prostitution have been homeless at some point in their lives. Further, 85 to 95 percent of those in prostitution want to escape it but see no other options for survival.” This is an important statistic for the “prostitution is female empowerment” and “legalize prostitution” crowd(s).

I noted the importance of talking to your kids about “taboo” topics and explaining why you want them to avoid such content instead of just telling them no. Also give them examples that have happened in their lives to further drive it home. I believe removing the mystery deters the curiosity.
I also love the idea of implementing and opt-in method for ISPs instead of opt-out.
