Very well done. There are a few points where the time spent on an explanation is more than the information is worth, but the overall product is engaging, readable, and — occasionally — lyrical.

Such a heavy slog through, determined to finish. Short summary thus far - they're all grasping assholes. Assholes who impacted modern life greatly, but scuzzy enough that I feel like a shower after reading about them.

Very odd and interesting.

So far it's wonderful! Learning about the invention of moving pictures and the construction of the Western 1/2 of the trans-continental RR. Two completely conflicting developments but they flow together wonderfully. Learning so much!
