read most of Double Indemnity (ch.3-14) tonight, or rather last night and this morning. could not sleep once i got into the groove. i have never experience so many damn twists and turns. fire. honestly much better than postman, which while great didn’t keep me up, though they have similarly morbid endings; almost the opposite of saccharine.
Onto Mildred Pierce. Full length novel, this next one.

finished the postman; read most of it in one go. how tragic and senseless an end. i suppose one isn’t suppose to get away with crime such as this. can see myself returning but the read would be much different the second time around. onto double indemnity.
