I think the FMC is in flight or fight mode as she is in foster care and was trying to run away from a potential r@pists. She is 17yrs old and her 18th b-day is 3days away. She is being detained by police, but these elemental academy kids are trying to whisk her away, but she doesn't want to go. Believes she doesn't have elemental powers even though she knows she has some sort of power but is keeping it a secret -_-

I think I have a slight obsession with like Academy mixed with supernatural/paranormal/any fantasy elements to it. Also, this was a giveaway, and I need to really get my ass on top of it. So far, I'm liking it. It's one of the books I'm reading an hour before bed.

I really enjoy the slow world building in this book so far. Finding out things as the character does is good for this particular story
