So far Rousseau is cooking up something interesting with some bad takes here and there, I don't really see why people use the trope of calling him an "Anprim" when idealizes Sparta.

Goodreads gets a little fucky once it’s time to log the Cambridge University version of The Origin and The Foundations of Inequality Among Men by Jean Jacques Rousseau.

I did not actually read 161 pages, I am only reading one section of The Discourses. The discourse I am reading begun on Page 113.

We're only spending two class days on this, but I am really tempted to read this at some point in my life outside of a classroom context. As many people in my class noted today, his writing in this is like that of a novel, not philosophical text.
