Very tedious. It just seems like a very long list of women with very little in depth information about any of them. I rarely give up on a book but sometimes you have to consider life is just too short to slog on with something and get no enjoyment out of it.

I’m disappointed that Philippa Gregory would repeat myths about crinolines and corsets. There is definitely some truth, but elite women certainly would not be impeded in movement by crinolines.
