Status Updates From Season of Ice

This book is outstanding and vibrant all at the same time. It is relatable and understandable and can be emotional. It can draw you in repeatedly. This book is no doubt a 4 star. It can sometimes drag on sometimes, which makes it loose a star. But all in all, it is phenomenal.

This book is about a girl and her family. One minute she's with her dad and the next he's gone.

Genesis is visiting the camp where her father used to work. She sees pictures of her, her brothers, but not his second wife, Linda. People are starting to think that he faked his death an left with another woman. She refuses to think that her father did anything wrong, or that he is dead. She leaves everything the way it was the last time he was there, hoping that he will return.

Right now, Genesis and her family have stopped the search for her father in the lake because it has frozen over. They have to wait until the lake thaws to continue the search for his body.

Can't put it down!

I'm thinking of abandoning. I usually don't stay in one spot for this long, so I will try a new book.

Just finished this up. Review coming soon.

Book has picked up a bit, but is still on the slow side. I can't help but feel sympathy for Genesis, the main character.

So far, the book is moving slow, but I have a feeling it will pick up later. Really impressed with her accurate descriptions of Maine.
